Polyethylene Disks
Polyethylene discs are generally used for far-IR measurements with an open transmission window ranging from about 624 – 5 cm-1. Polyethylene is of course a relatively soft material and therefore it is not possible to manufacture to our typical high precision specifications for flatness and finish.
