NaCl Disks, XP-Polymer Coated Windows
Sodium Chloride (NaCl), XP-Polymer coated discs provide an excellent protection for fogging. This coating is recommended for use in prolonged high humidity environments or where proper storage facilities are not available. The XP-Polymer coating has IR spectral features which must be ratioed or subtracted from sample measurements.View Product
NaCl Disks, XP-Halide Coated Windows
Sodium Chloride (NaCl), XP-Halide coated discs provide a good protection for fogging. This coating is recommended for use in high humidity environments or where proper storage facilities are not available. The XP-Halide coating is relatively free of IR absorption features; however, care must be exercised in IR measurements.View Product
Sodium chloride (NaCl) discs are a low cost alternative to KBr for infrared sampling. Its refractive index is very similar to KBr thereby providing a good match for organic samples. However, its long wavelength cutoff is higher than KBr so depending upon window thickness it may limit spectral range. Like KBr, NaCl is very soluble in water and fogs in humid environments.View Product
